"The beat goes on" at apple's special event held today (Sept. 5th 2007)
In a special event held by Steve Jobs and Apple, they introduced a plethora of new iPods and update info. for the iPhone.
Firstly, Starbucks + iTunes = Downloading the music played over the PA at starbucks using WiFi technology, interesting idea, we'll see how well it catches on.
Next, All around WiFi music store launched iPhone capable as well as the iPod.
New, iPod Touch announced, sporting the same features as the iPhone, same screen size, touch screen technology, WiFi capable, but thinner than the iPhone coming in 8 and 16Gb versions ($299 - $399).
iPod Classic, basically a re-named new iteration of the iPod Video, capable of everything the Video can do, a full metal case, and a new interface; sporting an 80 and 160Gb version ($249 - $349).
iPod Nano released with 2-inch screen, looks about 3 1/2-4 inches tall and about 2 1/2 inches wide. will come in 4 and 8Gb models ($149 - $199) -- will be in stores this weekend!
also a 1Gb red iPod Shuffle was announced in the styling of the new shuffles with a retail value of $79.
