ok, seriously, GEORGE BUSH has GOT to be the dumbest person on the planet. WHEN is he going to be gone already?!?!?
you know, I'm SO freaking sick of all of these republicans I hear ??? from on a daily basis, many of whom are college age, no less, who are always throwing up the argument "how can you not support the war? don't you support our troups? How can you sit there and be a woman who gets to vote and live your lifestyle and not be thankful for the soldiers who are out supporting that lifestyle?"
1) this is out of order, but the most blatant insult of them all.."a woman who gets to vote" first of all, that would be a CIVIL, DOMESTIC issue and fighting a war in iraq does not affect MY right to vote. (and seriously, I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT that republicans are not as smart as democrats, but backwards ass comments like that just go and make you look over the top stupid) this leads to...
2) one COULD argue that we are fighting a war for others to have democracy. fine, fine, but don't act like this is about my freakin lifestyle. We haven't fought a war that was actually about the United States and OUR freedoms in oh say....230 years or so.
3) its all great and dandy that we are busy trying to spread our influence everywhere. but plenty of bad ??? is happening in south america and are we giving them a tenth as much attention? No, and this is why...they didn't bomb us (which is fair enough, but just admit you are pissed that we got bombed instead of making it about WMDs!) and because THEY DON't HAVE AS NEARLY THE OIL THAT THE MIDDLE EAST HAS...hmmmm. don't think for one minute that the people in the middle east really want us there, either. have you not noticed that they hate us? seriously, lets just piss off some psychos who have never liked us that have nukes, thats a GREAT idea...
4) I support the individuals who away at the war, on an individual basis as in I feel for them and their families and I don't want anything bad to happen to them. I don't support their decision to participate in the war. There hasn't been a draft yet so everyone that is there, wants to be there. I really think this war is a stupid idea, I think just about everything the bush administration comes up with is a stupid idea, so surprise! I didn't join the freakin army!
and lastly...
5) back to my argument about how we haven't fought a war about lifestyles in a while. If GWB doesn't quit getting us into trouble, we are about to ACTUALLY have our soldiers fighting for our lifestyle. He's already said that he foresees this conflict leading to world war three. GREAT. my life is already complicated enough without having a nuke dropped on my ass on the way to the library. bring our troops home, before they are FORCED to come here to defend us on our home land. every minute we are over there it is that much more likely to happen here. (and quit bombing other people, because I'm sure they feel the same way about their country being bombed as I do)
I have utmost respect for all the 9/11 victims and their families. I do not mean to belittle anyone affected by this with my war trashtalking. At the time of the 911 tragedy my entire family was supposed to be on an international flight to the country the next week, and my boyfriend and best friend were both students at NYU, living only blocks away from the WTC. Everyone I knew was fine, and most people weren't so lucky. But I think we have made our point, and beat it into the ground. an eye for an eye and the whole world will be blind... George needs to admit he was WRONG to stay over there for so long.
by the way george, gay marriage didn't kill the dinosaurs. It was an asteroid, and if you had taken five seconds to realize that the bible's creation story leaves massive, MASSIVE holes in the story, you would know that.
