Posted On 09/05/2007 14:31:58

"The beat goes on" at apple's special event held today (Sept. 5th 2007)

In a special event held by Steve Jobs and Apple, they introduced a plethora of new iPods and update info. for the iPhone.

Firstly, Starbucks + iTunes = Downloading the music played over the PA at starbucks using WiFi technology, interesting idea, we'll see how well it catches on.

Next, All around WiFi music store launched iPhone capable as well as the iPod.

New, iPod Touch announced, sporting the same features as the iPhone, same screen size, touch screen technology, WiFi capable, but thinner than the iPhone coming in 8 and 16Gb versions ($299 - $399).

iPod Classic, basically a re-named new iteration of the iPod Video, capable of everything the Video can do, a full metal case, and a new interface; sporting an 80 and 160Gb version ($249 - $349).

iPod Nano released with 2-inch screen, looks about 3 1/2-4 inches tall and about 2 1/2 inches wide. will come in 4 and 8Gb models ($149 - $199) -- will be in stores this weekend!

also a 1Gb red iPod Shuffle was announced in the styling of the new shuffles with a retail value of $79.

My (Business) Trip to the Ukraine.
Posted On 08/23/2007 10:01:04

As some of you know, I recently went on a 2 week trip to Kharkov, Ukraine for my company. I had to meet with a vendor here we are working with, and get some issues ironed out. The work itself was tidious, frustrating, and at times, never-ending, BUT, all in all i enjoyed my time here very much.

We arrived in Kharkov in the late afternoon on Monday the 13th (we were supposed to be here on Sunday, but we had a cancelled flight in Chicago that postponed us 24hrs) oh well, no big deal...got a free night in the Hilton, plus money to spend on food, no harm done.

After arriving at the kharkov airport, which, i must say probably better resembles a Turkish Prison more than an actual airport, we gathered our belongings and headed to the hotel.

The hotel itself thankfully has been somewhat "Westernized" to accommodate travelers, and people not familiar with the Russian language, it has a restaurant and lounge area on the main floor, but other than that, the mini-bar in my room suited me fine!

Well the majority of my stay was rather un-eventful outside of work to be honest, a few incidents of almost getting lost, or losing my company phone, other than that it was all good experiences.

The food, although vastly different in taste compared to American cousine, is quite tasty, especially the German beer and the French wine. the Program Manager of the company I came to visit was quite hospitable as well, and he managed to show me a good time while i was here, wednesday night he took me to Club Misto which is essentially a bowling alley, a bar, a spa, and a strip club...

well to be perfectly honest i never saw the bowling alley, the bar, or the strip club...he had rented out an entire private sauna for me and some of the workers here...the ladies i'm sure would've been great, but as I have a girlfriend, i decided that would be against my better judgement....but even still, the spa was amazing...large, large area, with a sitting area with a rather diverse bar, a seperate secluded bed area (which i'm sure would've been great to have some ladies on)..but again i forgoed those pleasures, instead i sat in the dry sauna, the wet sauna, swam in the pool and sat in the jacuzzi...

Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience for virtually my last night in Kharkov...I'll be leaving here tomorrow morning at 7 am Kharkov time, so about 11PM CST

Hopefully this little blog didn't bore any of you too greatly, just thought I'd share the experience...if you have any other questions, just ask!

Signed,

Andrew

**edit**

i'll more than likely add some pictures of my adventures once i get home...some of the architecture around here...and some of the spa:)

UPDATED! new WOW Expansion RUMOR!
Posted On 08/01/2007 13:48:31

There is a good chance that the next expansion to World of Warcraft will be announced at Blizzcon this week! some of the details of the new expansion have been released, so far none of this has been confirmed but sounds very promising!

That expansion pack is called World of Warcraft: Into the Maelstrom

The Maelstrom area of Azeroth will be opened up for play. Will
consist of various islands and Undermine will have a new neutral city.

The islands will include questing zones, raid dungeons, that city, and a new arena.

The level cap is being raised to 80 with the expansion but there will be no new talents.
Advancement after level 70 will be through Hero Classes rather than
talents. Hero classes will function as subclasses and each existing
class will have 3 of these hero classes to choose from. These hero
classes will not be limited by talent choices. Players will be able to
choose these new subclasses at trainers when ItM goes live.

Currently the Priest and Druid hero classes are complete and the Warrior and Mage are close to completion

Hero classes will be demonstrated at BlizzCon

When contacted, a Blizzard representative responded with, "we
haven't announced any details on a second expansion. We also can't
comment on rumors or speculation."

the source article came from: http://pc.ign.com/articles/809/809350p1.html

Keep an eye out for more info possibly coming in over this weekend!

**UPDATE**

Another quick update! I was searching around a bit more...and it sounds like possibly one of the hero classes for paladins will be called the Death Knight -- No real details except it sounds like it is going to be the section that will officially make Ret Pally's a viable class:) WOOHOO! that means my 64 Ret Pally hasn't been a waste!

**UPDATE 2**

Well it looks like my initial rumors were hit and miss, the best i can tell you is go to http://worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/ and browse a bit to find out numerous pages about the different info...what i will tell you is that it is called
Wrath of the Lich King

we'll be venturing to northrend

there will be death knights (1st hero class)

new profession

new skills etc...

new dungeons, PVP etc...

read IGN for more indepth news...

OH also BTW....Warcraft Movie...2009...thats what they're planning!

testarroo!!!!
